2012 Olympic Poster

Great poster for the 2012 Games in London. Designed for the tube, they're aim is to get travellers to associate which tube stop the events will be held at. These are concept posters by graphic designer Alan Clarke which have been presented to the 2012 committee, whether they'll run is another thing, lets hope so. View more at Alan's site.

Turning Green

We've seen the pictures of the new 2010 Mash Cinelli kicking around the internet for a while now but things are now coming together with Cinelli getting the final samples off the ground and I have to say, it's looking sweeeet! Sticking with the same Benny Gold design from the 2009 model, gone is the grey on grey and in comes a lovely candy apple green. Expect these to fly off the racks again but if you're still looking for the grey option, there is one left at Velosport. Get on it!

Hmm, Do I Start Another New Project?

I'm not sure how far all those spare parts in the shed would get me but man, I want one of these! New pictures of the light cycle from the upcoming Tron Legacy have just surfaced and it's making me dribble to be honest. Only a year to wait for the film now! If you haven't yet seen the trailer, oh.....my......god! Do yourself a favour and go for the hi-def version.

The 14R

Built using Reynolds 853 double butted oversize aero tubing with a carbon fork, the 14R is now available to pre-order as a F&F set from 14BikeCo. with a release date of mid February. Great poster for Japanese Keirin Racing. The more I learn about Keirin racing in Japan, the more fascinated I become and going to see a race is now high on my list of things to do when I finally make that Japan trip I've talked about for far too long!

Nike AF1

Design studio Wilson Brothers have collaborated with Nike to produce this, the Nike AF1. The bike, a one off, was produced for the 25yr exhibition of the iconic Nike Air Force 1 shoe at London's Dover Street Market. Wilson Brothers also worked with Brooks & Stussy to produce the White Swallow saddle. Limited to 120 piece's, they were available at various Stussy outlets but will sadly now be long gone!

Arndt Menke- Zumbragel: Woodway

Berlin designer Arndt Menke- Zumbragel is the creator of this unique bicycle made using wood.
The project began by investigating the use of wood as a construction material, paying close attention to its particular considerations. The result is a fully functional bike with a frame weight of 2.3 kg. with some special metal parts and carefully constructed wood pieces, Arndt has created a bike that blends new and old together into one unique package.

Realtree Camo

Anyone for a game of hide and seek? Aerospoke, SAGLife and Cadence all seem to be rocking the Realtree camouflage at the moment. Being a life long fan of anything camo I like this look and for those of you that can't see it, it just proves it working!
